Hi,
I apologize for not e-mailing you sooner. That was bad form. I'm sorry. Even
more so because I am so happy with the purchase and should have let you know
right away.
Both paintings arrived in PERFECT condition -
the packaging did an EXCELLENT job protecting
them (the packages took a bit of a
beating during shipping). I didn't realize from the website that I could hang
the paintings just as they are without needing frames. The overall look is
great.
And sometime I would like to know how you actually brush on the paint. It is
oil, right? I would never guess so by examing it - which makes it more
interesting still.
Currently the paintings are resting on the fireplace mantel, and although I did
not plan to hang them above the fireplace, they look so good that now I think I
may have to hang them there. The fireplace is a gas fireplace and there is no
danger to the paintings from either smoke or heat, in case you were worried.
Also, I have to get some lighting for the paintings.
When I finish hanging and lighting the paintings I will send you a picture - but
be patient - it may take awhile. By the way,
the paintings are beautiful and I am really
enjoying them. In fact, after talking
about the paintings in this e-mail, I'm looking forward right now to going down
to the living room and seeing them.
